COLLECTION: vind & vågor [wind & waves]

This pattern series started with my “fox” pattern. I experimented with separating the stoke and the fill, rotating and scaling, and the abstract shapes appealed to me. I was living on the Big Island of Hawaii when I used the signature pattern on my curtains. and the shapes started to remind me of sails in the wind and the waves. The black & white versions amplify the abstract shapes in high contrast, playing with the positive and negative space. The additional colorways were drawn from fresh water and tropical greenery.
